The following summarizes how we ensure the data is protected, the type of data collected when you visit our website www.vhm-law.at ("website"), and what it is used for. By "personal data" we mean any information about you that could be used to help identify you, for example your e-mail or IP address.

When you visit our website, we collect information about your IP address and the number and duration of your visits. We also gather technical information about the device and browser version you are using. These data are exclusively used to optimize system security and for the purpose of statistical analysis to improve the information offered. This website uses Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google, Inc. ("Google"). Google Analytics uses cookies, which are text files stored on your computer, to help analyze your use of the website.  The information generated by the cookie about your use of this website (including your IP address) will be transmitted to a Google server in the USA and stored there. Google will use this information for the purpose of evaluating your use of the website, compiling reports on website activity for website operators and providing other services relating to website activity and Internet usage.  Google may also transfer this information to third parties where required to do so by law or insofar as such third parties process this data on Google's behalf. This website uses the Google Analytics extension "_anonymizeIp()". This means that IP addresses are only processed in abbreviated form to rule out a direct link to an individual.

Newsletter „Practical Pointers“

On our website, we offer the opportunity to register for our newsletter „Practical Pointers“ as well as to receive event invitations. To register, you only need to supply your email address and declare that you consent to receiving respective updates via email. Schould you voluntarily give further information such as additional contact details, areas of interest or other information, we will process them, where applicable, to address you in person and to inform you in a target and interest specific manner. You may unsubscribe from our newsletter or otherwise withdraw your consent any time, for example by contacting office@vhm-law.at.

 

Your Rights

You have the right to obtain from Vavrovsky Heine Marth Rechtsanwälte GmbH confirmation as to whether or not (and, if applicable: to what extent) your personal data is being processed. In addition, you have the right to erasure and rectification of your data. You, furthermore, have the right to obtain restriction of processing of your data or to object to processing completely. Also, you have the right to demand the transmission of the collected personal data to a third party in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format.

Where the processing our data is based on your consent, you have the right to withdraw such consent to the processing of your personal data at any time. If you are of the opinion that we are violating Austrian or European data protection law by processing your data, you can contact us any time or address a complaint to the Data Protection Authority.
